What books that are not in the Protestant Bible should really be read?

I understand there are books missing from the Bible as Evangelical Christians know it. Catholics claim their Bible is right because they have those missing books. However there are a lot of books missing from the Catholic Bible too. Does anyone know which books that are not in the Protestant Bible should actually be read and respected as works inspired by God, and can you explain why?
