What is the difference between Protestant and Anglican, is Kate Anglican o Protestant?

"Protestant" refers to any one of the Christian traditions which emerged from the European Reformation of the sixteenth century - Calvinist, Lutheran, Anabaptist, etc. "Anglican" is one of those traditions - specifically, the tradition that emerged from the English Reformation. The Duchess of Cambridge is an Anglican and, therefore, a Protestant.
