Why are born-again Christians so much against Catholicism?

Being a former Catholic I will attempt to answer this. As you read the NT, you will find a parallel to the Pharisees who like the Catholics taught that the means of salvation is solely through the church, they make the rules, you do this or that which is never good enough and you may be saved. But through reading you will find many discrepancies to the actual Church of Christ and the Catholic church which is nothing more than a man-made doctrine. It was revealed by God to me, and I am blessed by Him by this revelation. It to me is the "wide gate" that Jesus speaks of.
